MEET KAITLYN
My passion for nutrition started with running. After a career-ending soccer injury, I turned to cross country and trained diligently to become the best athlete I could be. Pre-season races fueled my excitement but as the season approached, I could barely cross the finish line. I was eventually diagnosed with severe anemia.
But anemia was just the tip of the iceberg. What followed was a decade-long journey through persistent, confusing symptoms from debilitating fatigue and gut issues to severe acne and hormone imbalances. I was given round after round of antibiotics, each one masking symptoms without ever addressing the root cause. Each prescription brought new, seemingly unrelated issues that left me feeling overwhelmed, dismissed, and disconnected from my body.
I vividly remember sitting in the doctor’s office receiving IV iron when I was told, “Your body just isn’t made for running. You’ll never be able to healthily run more than a mile again.” To him, the case was closed. But to me, it was just the beginning.
Determined to find another way, I turned to nutrition. I began learning, experimenting, and listening more closely to my body. By optimizing what I ate and supporting my body at a foundational level, I not only recovered but went on to break the cross-country record I had once set my sights on.
Fast forward 15 years, and I crossed the NYC Marathon finish line (multiple times!) feeling stronger and more vibrant than ever.
That journey, one of resilience, curiosity, and the transformative power of food and gut health optimization, fuels my passion for helping others uncover their own path to wellbeing. I know what it’s like to feel discouraged, dismissed, and stuck in cycles of symptoms. And I know the freedom that comes when you finally uncover the why behind it all.
Now, I get to help others do the same- backed by 10 years of experience, guiding more than 1,000 clients alongside healthcare providers and in my private practice.
MY STORY
My Approach
I work with women whose GI symptoms persist despite thoughtful care and best efforts. My approach is rooted in curiosity, context, and individualized nutrition because symptoms rarely exist in isolation.
Digestive health influences far more than digestion alone. When GI symptoms linger, they often affect energy, mood, hormones, skin, sleep, and daily life. My role is to help uncover what’s driving those patterns and translate that information into care that is both evidence-based and realistic.
